FAQs for PPAC
What security measures are in place?
A night at the theater should be all about the show, not security worries. To keep everyone safe, PPAC requires all guests to pass through metal detectors upon entry. Bags are checked, and only items that fit comfortably under your seat are allowed.
A few things won’t make it past the door – no firearms, weapons, suitcases, briefcases, or outside food and drinks. There’s no storage for prohibited items, so if it’s on the no-go list, leave it at home.
What are the box office hours?
Regular hours are Monday to Friday: 10am to 5pm and Saturday: 10am to 2pm. The following hours are in effect during summer: Monday to Thursday: 10am – 3pm.
The window opens two hours prior to curtain time on event days.
How long do shows last?
Most events last between two to three hours, often including a 15 to 20-minute intermission.
What are the rules for electronic devices?
Cell phones are allowed but must be turned off during performances. Photography and videography are strictly prohibited inside the theater. Cameras and recording devices are not allowed unless pre-approved by both the venue’s and artist’s publicity teams.
Is there an inclement weather policy?
Weather happens in Providence (we’re talking flash floods, blizzards, and worse). For updates during inclement weather, check the PPAC website or local media.
What accessibility services are available?
PPAC is committed to accessibility. The theater offers curbside drop-off, accessible entrances, restrooms, and assistive listening devices. Services like ASL interpretation and open captioning are available upon request. For arrangements, contact the venue in advance.
Is there a lost and found service?
For lost items, contact the PPAC Administrative Offices at 401.421.2997, ext. 0, Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.
